Wotton-under-Edge
Wotton-under-Edge
is a small but busy town on the Southern edge of the Cotswolds.
We are about equidistant from Bristol to the South and Gloucester
to the North.
The name Wotton-under-Edge means a town by a wood, below an edge
- the edge being the Cotswold Hills escarpment.
Wotton
is a good base for walkers; the Cotswold way passes through the
town, which is worth a stop for the many historic buildings and
spectacular views. There are loads of less ambitious walks from
the town too.
As well as Wotton itself, Round Table 974 also has members from
the surrounding towns and villages, including Charfield, Berkeley,
North Nibley, Wickwar, etc.
